AIPA believes music should be available to everyone, and our tutors adapt lessons to support individual needs.

Performance Opportunities

Music is made to be shared! Throughout the year, students can take part in:

  • Showcases and concerts
  • Ensemble playing
  • Choir performances
  • Community events and seasonal celebrations

These opportunities help learners grow in confidence, celebrate progress, and experience the joy of live performance.

Pathways in Music

From the first steps in early years percussion to advanced instrumental study, AIPA provides clear pathways for musical growth. Students can progress towards:

  • Ensemble and band playing
  • Solo performance opportunities
  • Music for personal enjoyment and creativity

Graded Exams & Accreditation

For students who wish to take their music to the next level, AIPA offers preparation and entry for graded music examinations with recognised exam boards. These exams provide:

  • Clear progression through structured levels (beginner to advanced)
  • Internationally recognised certificates valued by schools, colleges, and employers
  • Goals and motivation to help students focus and celebrate achievements

We support exam pathways in:

  • ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music)
  • Trinity College London
  • Rockschool (RSL Awards) – ideal for contemporary guitar, drums, vocals, and band instruments

Exams are optional – some learners prefer to focus on performance or personal progress. Our tutors work with each student to find the pathway that best suits their interests and ambitions.

Believe to Achieve – At AIPA, we believe every learner can shine. Our School of Music supports each student to grow in skill, confidence, and creativity while developing a lifelong love of music.
