Aintree Initiatives for Performing Arts (AIPA) is a community-based organisation in Liverpool dedicated to making the performing arts accessible to everyone. We provide high-quality tuition, creative opportunities, and inclusive programmes that help learners of all ages and abilities to grow in confidence, develop new skills, and discover the joy of music and performance.
At AIPA, we believe the arts have the power to inspire, connect, and transform lives. Whether you’re picking up an instrument for the first time, looking to develop your voice, joining a choir, or stepping onto the stage, we are here to support your journey.
“Believe to Achieve” – because every learner has the potential to shine.
AIPA is led by Directors Silvia Rubio, Bevanie Robinson and Margie Connell, with Silvia Rubio as our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). Together, they ensure that AIPA remains a safe, inspiring, and inclusive place for all learners.

Silvia is the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) at Aintree Initiatives for Performing Arts. She is responsible for ensuring that safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do, overseeing policy, staff training, and incident reporting.
With a strong background in education and community leadership, Silvia brings experience in supporting children, young people, and vulnerable adults across a range of settings. She is committed to creating a culture of safety, respect, and openness where every learner can thrive.
As DSL, Silvia works closely with AIPA’s Directors, tutors, and external agencies to ensure safeguarding standards are upheld in line with statutory guidance. She is the first point of contact for any safeguarding concerns raised by students, families, staff, or members of the community.
✨ Silvia believes that the performing arts should be a safe and empowering space for all – where creativity and wellbeing go hand in hand.
